
Shawn Tedford, PA-C
Shawn is a Board-Certified physicians associate with a 26 year history of diverse medical practice in Kitsap County. He was raised in Los Alamos New Mexico, Home of the Atomic Bomb. Upon graduation from high school in 1987, he joined the US Navy as a Navy Corpsman and received additional training in X-ray and battlefield medicine with The US Marine Corps. After serving with the Marines in Okinawa, Mr. Tedford's last duty assignment was at the Bremerton Naval Hospital in 1991.
Following his honorable discharge in 1991, he worked as a radiologic technician for 5 years at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton. Shawn went to the University of Washington Medex PA Program and graduated with honors. He subsequently worked in orthopedic and spine surgery for 15 years, mostly in Kitsap County, and 11 years in vascular surgery at both Harrison Medical Center and now St. Michael Medical Center In Silverdale, WA. In his first few years of practice as a PA-C, he worked in the Emergency Department/Urgent Care at Harrison Medical Center and Port Orchard South Campus for two years.
Shawn has been blessed with a son and two daughters. He met his wife at the Bremerton YMCA in 1995. Since then, they have enjoyed hiking, traveling, and building a strong family unit over the last 29 years and counting.
With a long history of diverse experiences, Shawn feels honored to care for the same community he is raising his family in.
